From LL Int'l:
Bat Modifications & Alterations

No bat, in any level of Little League Baseball or Softball play, is permitted to be altered. This is of particular concern especially when it is clearly done to enhance performance and violate bat standards. Making such alterations to bats is clearly an inappropriate attempt to gain an unfair advantage, and cheating has no place in our program. Umpires, managers and coaches are instructed to inspect bats before games and practices - as they always should - to determine if bats might have been altered. [read entire article]

All DLL Managers and Coaches
Join the City of Davis's List Serve for Inclement Weather Field Conditions Update.  will inform field users (DLL coaches) about current field conditions during times of inclement weather.  All youth sports teams must abide by the field closure rules and so getting on this list serve will make that a lot easier.  We know you want to practice, but with conditions so wet, we need to stay off all fields and park areas.   If a DLL team is found to be violating the city field closure rules, you run the risk of losing all field privileges.

Here's how you join:
1.  Go to the City of Davis website:  www.ci.davis.ca.us
2.  Select "City Council & Commissions" towards the top half of the web page.
3.  In the box titled "Commissions" select the "Emails List" link.
4.  Then select the "Create a User Acccount" link.
5.  There you crate a user name and password.
6.  Then you will be asked for your email address.
7.  You will be sent a confirming email to activate your account and then will be given the opportunity to select the "Inclement Weather Field Conditions Update" list serve.
8.  You will begin receiving emails from the list serve.

Thank you.

Participate in our
2010 Fundraiser:

MVP Band Logo

Earn money for DLL!

The MVP Band “Triple-Play” Fundraising Program will be providing DLL with a unique fundraising opportunity that not only compliments the game itself, but it will protect our players at the same time.

Best of all, there are:

  • NO door to door sales
  • NO pledges, no candy, no magazine sales
  • NO volunteer parents to recruit

Players (or parents) simply buy a great product that helps increase performance while reducing the chances of arm related injury, and our league earns money.

Each MVP Band sale will earn our league between 5%-25% of each sale:  The percentage of course is dependent upon the number of bands DLL purchases.  There is a junior model for DLL players ages 10 and under, and a Pro Series model for ages 11 and up (AAA, Majors & Juniors).

Please remember when you visit the www.mvpband.com site to purchase a band, be sure to select "Davis Little League" from the drop-down box when you are finalizing your order in the shopping cart .

MVP Band is a licensed product of Little League Baseball & Softball, Inc.
