League Structure
Davis Little League consists of the following 2 youth baseball leagues:
- American League
- National League
The American and National Leagues are for players between the ages of 5-12. In general, the American league
boundaries are East and South Davis, while the National league consists of North and West Davis. The American
and National Leagues each consist of the following 3 divisions:
- Major Division
- Minor Division
- T-Ball
Please refer to the "teams" page for a description of each of the above levels.
Please refer to the age-cutoff bracket table for the league's play-up and play-down policy.
Boundaries
Davis Little League boundaries are posted in the office located at the
Little League Complex. Player candidates who reside
within the approved boundaries are eligible to participate in Davis Little League's
youth baseball programs. Davis Little League boundaries, which are meant to
include areas beyond the Davis Joint Unified School district boundaries,
can be summarized as:
- Beginning at the Yolo Causeway (at the southeast corner of our boundaries) those addresses BETWEEN, but NOT on, Tremont Road and then Putah Creek (the southern border line) and Road 27 (the northern border line) AND from the Yolo Causeway westward to, and including, those addresses on County Road 95.
Eligibility
Davis Little League is open to all children between the ages of 5 and 12. A player's age is
based on the National Little League age cutoff. The league is open to players who live within the
established physical boundaries, subject to adherence to established rules
and required parental support. In addition, player candidates must have parental
or legal guardian consent.
Operations
Davis Little League is an all-volunteer league. Many parents devote their personal
time to support and operate the league. Help is always needed - if you are interested
in volunteering some time, please read more on the volunteering section.
