A Message from the DLL President

Hello Davis Little League Players, Parents, and Coaches!

On behalf of the Board of Directors, it is my sincere pleasure to welcome you to the 2005 Davis Little League baseball season. I'd like to start by thanking the many volunteers, parents, and members of our community who have been dedicating their time and resources over the past 7 months preparing for the upcoming 2005 season.

The number one goal set by the DLL Board this year is to deliver an excellent player experience. Great efforts have been taken to ensure this goal is realized:

  • Facilities are improved, including a new batting cage, new hitting stations, and improved dugouts.
  • Playing equipment has been upgraded.
  • A variety of fun events are planned, including Opening Day and the annual Rivercats event.
  • Expanded training clinics for coaches and umpires.
  • A pre-season player clinic is being offered.
  • A renewed focus on team balance.

A RESOLUTION BY THE DLL BOARD
The Davis Little League Board deems that the primary function of the league is to be one of training and preparation of Little Leaguers in mechanics, skills, knowledge, and sportsmanship.
Davis Little League is truly more than baseball games. The program is an opportunity for young minds to develop the virtues of character, courage, and loyalty. The outstanding volunteer efforts of parents and friends of DLL enable our children to be taught the rewards of teamwork, respect, and self-discipline.

We ask you to step up and help deliver on the goal of providing a positive and rewarding player experience. Please help us provide a clean, safe, and positive environment for our children. Little League is about the kids. We have the responsibility of teaching our kids good sportsmanship and the value of friendship.

Please feel free to speak to any DLL Board member, at any time, about anything. Issues or comments can be rapidly addressed with open communications. As well, keep an open line of communication with your child's manager. Let's continue providing a terrific, positive environment at the ballpark to help our kids learn and grow.

Again, on behalf of the Davis Little League Board of Directors, I welcome you to the 2005 season. Let's Play Ball!

Best Regards,

Dan Gazzaniga
DLL President
