Skill Assessment Day

Who Should Attend? All 9-12 year old players should attend. This includes all 12 year old players and all 10-11 year old players who have previously played in the Major League Division level during the regular spring season.  (Level of play in Fall Ball does not apply for these purposes). Please see below for dates and times. All activities will take place at the DLL Complex.

Skill Assessment Day for the 2008 DLL Season
will be held on
Saturday and Sunday, January 12th and 13th.

Please make every effort to get your player to one of these sessions.
A make-up assessment day will be held on Wednesday, January 16th for those not able to attend on the 12th or 13th.

Please Note: Players only need to attend ONE Skill Assessment Day.

Skill Assessment Day will take place at the Davis Little League Complex.  All players should wear clothing appropriate to baseball, including a protective cup for boys, and cleats.  All players should bring their own glove and may bring their own bat if they wish, but bats will be provided.

All players’ ages 9-12 (based on Little League age cutoff), whether they have played previously or not are required to attend one of these skill assessment days.  This is an opportunity for player’s skills to be assessed by managers and coaches prior to the draft for AAA and Majors later in January.

Davis Little League follows the National Little League rules regarding the assessment and drafting of registered players, therefore regardless of experience, all those ages 9-12 must attend an assessment in order to be eligible for the draft.

Important Notice:  Davis Little League is still in need of 2 managers for the American League AAA Division.  If you are interested, or know of anyone who is interested, please call Solveig Monson at 756-3715 as soon as possible.  If there are not managers identified prior to the AAA draft, these teams will be drafted by the Director of Baseball.
